Welcome to the Green MacHHHHine Website!

Green MacHHHHine Team #3129A is a high school robotics team from Mountain View, California that competes in the VEX Robotics Competition.  This is our fourth year competing in VEX.

Our mission is to sustain an organization where students can learn about science and engineering from professionals in those fields.  Students will work in a team environment motivated by exciting competition against other teams.

Our team is made up of both students and adult mentors.  Our philosophy is that the role of mentors on our team is to teach the students and advise them.  The students on our team should not only learn about robotics but also be the only ones that build the robot.

The challenge this year is called "Toss Up".  Click here to see a video that explains the game!

This season, we have attended one competittion in San Ramon an one in San Jose.  At the competition in San Ramon, we seeded 11th out of 61 teams, made it to the quarterfinals, and won the highest honor at the tournament: the "Excellence Award"! Here is the official description of the Excellence Award:

"This is the highest award presented in the VEX Robotics Competition. The recipient of this award is a team that exemplifies overall excellence in building a well-rounded VEX robotics program.  This team excels in many areas and is a shining example of dedication, devotion, hard work and teamwork.  As a strong contender in numerous award categories, this team deserves to be recognized for building a quality robot and a “team” committed to quality in everything that they do."

At the competition in San Jose, we were chosen to compete on the third seeded alliance, and we made it all the way to the semifinals!  We also won the "Design Award" at the tournament, earning us our second invitation to compete at the California State Championships in March!

In March, we attended the California State Championships!  After seeding fourth in the qualification rounds with a record of 7 wins and 1 loss, we captained the third seeded alliance to the quarterfinals!  We have received an invitation to attend the World Championships, and we will be competing there in April!
